If you would just like to take a quick look through the virtual galleries on this site, you could take a look at our Short Tour video which saves you having to click wildly through all of the virtual galleries. It takes between 4 and 5 minutes. You may want to right-click and save this file locally first. It's around 16 MB. If you are not using Broadband, it's probably time to make a cup of tea while this is loading. We have even put a collection of mood music in the background. To get the full effect please turn on your computer's loudspeaker. ( just in case you are interested, the background music in the Short Tour is a collection of excerpts from works by Puccini and Berlioz performed by The Rumanian State Philharmonic Orchestra Satu Mare, The Choir of the State Parliament North-Rhine Westphalia and The Hilden Oratorio Choir, Germany, conducted by Franz Lamprecht ) All of the music used in this video is used with permission. If you are having problems seeing / hearing the short tour: 1. have you turned on the loudspeaker on your PC ? 2. do you have a media player installed on your PC ? If you do not have a media player(e.g. Windows Media Player, Flash Video or Apple's iTunes), you could try the Real player. The basic version is for free and does the job.
